Now that spring is in full bloom, temperatures are finally warming up, and the sun is no longer setting as soon as you get out of work. That means it’s officially time to clear the cold-weather clothes out of your closet — and up your nail game. After all, ditching your gloves and heading outside is the best excuse to flaunt a fresh manicure!
But while metallics and velvet nails were totally on-trend this past winter, there is a new, brighter look in town that’s set to take over this season: key lime pie nails. We realize that pastels in spring might sound like a no-brainer, yet the hues are having a huge moment in 2025.
In fact, soft tones have broken out of their seasonal box and will remain a year-round staple. So, if you’re hoping to upgrade your nails before Easter, you can obviously opt for tones like lavender, baby pink, sky blue, or even butter yellow.
Still, if there’s one specific shade that we have to rank over the rest, it’s key lime pie nails. They’re a fun and unexpected departure from sage green, which had us all in a chokehold during 2024.
To be clear, we don’t think sage green will ever really go out of style, given how complementary it is to various outfits and overall aesthetics. But that doesn’t mean key lime pie nails can’t have their own moment. Here’s what to know about this year’s hottest manicure!

Londontown
They feature more of a milky, sea foam green that’s a bit brighter and can instantly elevate any look. For instance, if you want to fully embrace a pastel palette this spring, key lime pie nails can be the cherry on top. Or, if you’re more of a neutral or monochrome girl, this mani can embolden your outfit a bit without being too loud.

Olive & June
The best part? You can really do so much with this shade. If we’re being honest, everyone tends to have their own go-to nail style that can be hard to ditch. You might prefer almond over square nails, natural as opposed to acrylic, or more intricate designs instead of plain polish colors.

Butter London
With key lime pie-like shades, you can totally customize your manicure without your favorite look appearing too overpowering. For example, can you imagine how elegant French tips would look with this milky green hue? Or, go the bolder route by sporting another complementary pastel on the rest of your fingers and allowing a key lime pie shade to serve as an accent nail.

Manicurist
Since we are coming up on Easter, there are plenty of other on-theme options, too. You can add pastel polka dots, squiggles that resemble egg designs, or even embellishments like charms. The possibilities are quite literally endless.
